We would like to offer our special thanks to Frank Pemberton for all the hard work that he and the RAOB club have put in over this last 12 months to raise funds for 'The Joshua Tree'

Christmas Fair Many thanks to everyone who supported us at our Christmas craft afternoon. There was a great atmosphere and we managed to raise over £400. Thank you Winnington Park School for allowing us to host the event free of charge.

Charity Football Match The charity football match on Sunday 12th November was a great success. The Stars from Coronation Street and Hollyoaks played a great match against Manchester City legends at Victoria Stadium. Richard Fleeshman (Craig Harris) and Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) from Coronation Street presented medals to Northwich Juniors and Winsford Diamonds who also played before the main game. We would like to give a big thank you to Tom Davies (Northwich Town Mayor), Roni Melville (Commercial Manager) and Dave Moss (Assistant Manager) for all their hard work. We would also like to say a huge thank you to Tony Steenson for organising so many stars to take part.

Following the matches in the afternoon we had a sportsman's dinner with guest speaker Norman Whiteside and again this was a great success. Overall we raised over £2500

Big and Small Sunflower Presentation Lots of tots managed to raise over £300 during Bethel's Big and Small sunflower grow throughout last summer. It was great to see how green fingered they were, some flowers growing to over 10 feet tsall! Tom Davies kindly presented the winners with their prizes. Well done everyone.

Forties Night
The Joshua Tree was officially launched as a registered charity at the forties-themed fancy dress event held at Hartford Golf Club on 29th September 06. Many thanks to Tom Davies and Sheena Stellard for arranging this event and to all those who made the evening so enjoyable. Everyone really got into the spirit of the era and there were soldiers, spivs and gangsters amongst the guests. Barclays Bank matched the money we raised in the raffle giving a total of £1120 for the raffle alone. The evening raised a grand total of £1800.
